"Any Time is Apple Pie Time in Mom's Kitchen."

42"h x 36"w.

Curator's note: This was the first actually finished quilt for this project!

A paper scroll, containing many quotations hangs down, next to the quilt, when displayed. The scroll contains all the quotes in the mini paper scrolls in the clock pockets on the quilt. She gave the finished piece to me in October, 98, at the Art Quilt Network meeting in Columbus. Anita lives in Sacramento, CA. She writes:

For a number of years now, I have been fascinated with concepts of Time, and when I first saw the linen dishtowel that was the basis for this project, I saw at once that I would use a clock for the theme of my piece. And as an inveterate collector of quotations, I saw the possibility of combining both these interests.

I used the twelve months for twelve pockets on the face of a clock. I copied apple quotations from as many sources (the Internet and books of quotations) as I could find, and put them on little scrolls that go into the pockets.

thanks to Marlene Koons, who helped with sewing of this piece.
