This piece was a commission and is in a private collection.

This piece is painted on muslin fabric, not stretched or framed. Painted with Airpen, brush on Deka Permanent fabric paints. All hand quilted, embroidered, and beaded.

Another quilt artist/painter asked me to make this piece for her, because she needed some good energy. Her hands were so overworked, they had to be in splints and not used. She yearned to have strong hands, clear eyes and wings to fly, to get back to her creativity soon. Dinah had made a piece with owls in it, which is now in the Quilt National '03 show, and which Robin Schwalb and I had selected to be the 2003 GREEN QUILTS Award winner, at the QN opening in May.
